Passionate and enthusiastic about her love for God, Katherine is committed to connecting with youth. She has varied interests that include acting classes (she is a fan of improv theatre), dancing, painting, cooking, swimming, hiking, rock climbing, and kayaking.

Raised in Tsawwassen, Katherine grew up in a non-religious but loving home. At the age of 17, she found faith in Christ though Young Life ministries and was discipled by St. David's youth ministries before going to study theology at Rocky Mountain College in Alberta. In addition, Katherine attended the Jesus School and the Jesus Dance and Art School in Kamloops where her faith deepened as she learned to incorporate her creativity into worship. Before returning home to Tsawwassen, Katherine interned at Centre Street Church in their Children's Ministry Department. There she discovered an inextinguishable passion for sharing the love of Christ with children and youth.

Katherine was wed to Rick in September 2006. Having met while serving in Sunday school, they share a passion for spreading the love of God with young people and are both excited to have the opportunity to share their lives with the youth in Tsawwassen.
